SCHOOL PRAYER

PRAYER – 1

O God! the father of all beings,
We pray to you, for all your loving,
And wish to learn loving
For all brothers and sisters.
O God! the saviour of all downcast
We pray to you, for all your grace.
To the poor and needy,
And wish to learn, being graceful
To all high and low.

PRAYER – 2

O God! we pray to you this day
We are young and innocent.
We wish your blessing.
And pay our homage.
O God! be thou our guide
When we miss the truth
And wish to find, the way to it.

PRAYER – 2

God! we pay our homage
For all you make, great and small.
We feel awesome and joy
At all the splendour abounding
You made it, added to all.
It’s your radiance that shines.
As of the moon at night.
We pray to you ever more,
For you made this world for us
And made it fascinated, and habitable.

BECKONING TO ARISE

Peep out of the windows
As the little birdies do
At dawn, see the beaming light
And welcome it with rejoicing.
Awake and arise my pupils!
At the dawn of the Model Academy.
Make resonant sound
Wild with glee like the birdies at twigs
Full of lively flowers
With scented sweets abound.
Realise the grace of God.
The Creator of all the splendour.
There's God in His Wisdom
With a confirmed will at His Disposal.
It's the Day made with His Will
And, the night with His Wisdom.
Awake and arise my Students!
To the Zenith with Model Academy.

A MESSAGE

It is said, "Life is not a bed of roses". During the long journey of life everybody faces a number of inevitable happenings which are really sad to remember. And now I am taking the chance to express the sorrows of every sad moment of my life. One of my unforgettable moments of the past which has always been in my mind was the moment of 6.45 p.m. on 15th June of 1995 for it was at this very moment the dreadful incident took away my beloved mother, one sister-in-law, two elder sisters, one younger sister and one younger brother from my little lap. It was an act of cruelty and violence among men. Since the unforgettable incident I have been bearing the sad moments shedding tears. My beloved father Shri L. Lalji Singh during his late moments of life suffered a lot to think of us all. His boundless love of mankind made him establish this school “Memorial Model Academy” for the welfare of the future generations and handed the burden over to me. Taking the elder teachers as godfather I pray to God to enlighten the dreams of my beloved father who had taken rest in his heavenly abode.

Taking all the friends of my beloved father and mother as my own family member I am seeking their full co-operation to guide the children of new generation towards the goal of success and development. With the inclusion of this school among the historical monuments of Yairipok in Manipur I appeal to all sections of the society to extend valuable help in the interest of the young students. Kindness is the best way of life. Procrastination is the worst way of life. Binding with the thread of love, working with positive thinking and sacrifice, let us make the race of progress and prosperity in this age of competition.

Once Jawaharlal Nehru said, “For the country, sacrifice the family, for the family, the individual, for the individual, the soul.” It is fit for all to remember.

Lastly, I like to appeal to all my respected teachers and guardians to extend full co-operation to rise the children of the new generations up to the highest level of progress.

PERSPECTIVE VIEW

In reminiscence of the six members of my family who had died in the hands of some miscreants on the 15th June, 1995 at about 6.45 p.m. in my residential room, the Memorial Model Academy has been founded with the start of the session from 1997. The event forms an annal in the history of the State in its anarchy and lawlessness.

In consolation and wishing to resort to taking realization of my own self and service I find myself devoted to teaching with the setting up of this school.

I maintain that “discipline” is an order and harmony. It being so, Education comes to the fore. It is a key to solve all intricate problems and a means to an end. It is not merely only a process of reading and writing sans a practical thinking and a sound reasoning.

Commas and semicolons of study are as nights to the days. Experience of real life is further extension of learning. Practical experimentation of theories of learning is in the experience of real life.

I hold a firm faith in this that Education, over and above its acquiring knowledge and skill, consist in attaining one's integrity and realization of one's real self as the ultimate objective, the summumbonum.

Hence, it's my fervent appeal to all concerned for furthering my hope and zeal.
